Frank is your always available advisor with advanced insights into your financial life. Start chatting with Frank by navigating to the chat bar at the bottom of the page on desktop or by using the red Chat button located in the top right on mobile. You can continue your conversation as you make your way around the app.

Frank’s chat functionality has been trained on thousands of hours of expertise, paired with strict tools and rubrics, and is protected by guardrails to ensure a high level of accuracy.

Frank only draws on your financial context as needed, but users should assume that any data in their Frank app is accessible to Frank.

Managing Chat

New Chat

By default, reloading the site will launch a new conversation with Frank.

If you would like to start a new conversation without reloading the site, you can click the pencil icon in the top right of the chat area next to the History and Close icons.

History

Each conversation is stored separately and can be reopened if you want to continue chatting or review the interaction.

In the top right of the chat area, select the History (it looks like a rewinding clock) icon to open a list of previous conversations.

Click to reopen any conversation and pick up where you left off!

Customizing Frank

The settings you selected during onboarding for Frank’s tone, your financial savvy, and your interests can be changed anytime by clicking on the Settings icon in the top right of the chat area.

Make any desired changes and click Save.

Hiding the Chat Panel

If you need more space on your desktop view, you can close the chat panel by clicking the “x” in the top right of the chat area. This will hide the chat view and end the conversation. Enter text in the chat bar to start a new conversation.

Resize the Chat Panel

To resize the chat panel on desktop, hover over space between the chat panel and main content area. A vertical dividing line will darken and your cursor will change to 2 arrows. Click and drag to your desired width. This width will persist even if you close the chat panel and open it again in the future.
